Empowering Seniors:

Digital Financial Literacy Initiative supported by AI

The Project

We’re here to help seniors feel confident, safe, and empowered in today’s digital world. This project is all about making online banking, digital payments, and money management easier and safer for older adults.

As Europe moves toward a fully digital future, we want to make sure seniors are included every step of the way. This project supports the EU’s Digital Strategy 2030 and the goal of creating a digital world that works for everyone.

With the rise of AI (Artificial Intelligence) in banking, we introduce seniors to smart tools like chatbots and virtual assistants, showing how these technologies can make life easier and offer reliable support.

OBJECTIVES

  • Create a flexible learning space based on artificial intelligence search algorithms to develop and assess the digital financial literacy of older people.

  • Develop the capacity of adult educators to facilitate the training of senior citizens.

  • Provide digital financial literacy training for seniors using the flexible learning space.

What we offer

  • The Educational e-Studio “The Way of Senior Citizens to Digital Financial Inclusion in the Digital Age,” with assessment tool, – an easy and flexible self-learning space for seniors. It offers 4 short online courses made up of videos and interactive exercises to help seniors feel confident using digital finance and AI-powered services.

  • A practical guide for adult educators to lead training using the
e-Studio, with methods combining self-learning and face-to-face discussions through blended and reverse learning approaches.

  • Hands-on training
6 trained facilitators and 48 senior participants directly involved in pilot sessions using the e-Studio.

Project’s target groups

The SILVER project has two direct target groups:

  1. senior citizens-learners, who are willing to improve their digital financial literacy by participating in the digitally-reinforced training based on e-Studio “The Way of Senior Citizens to Digital Financial Inclusion in Digital Age”

  2. adult educators who facilitate the seniors’ training using blended learning and reverse training methodologies.
